Dog Dancing or Heelwork to Music...

Last weekend was dedicated to HTM. Saturday was my first official competition in the Danish Kennel Club. Spooky did a HTM class 1 to Edward Scissorhands: Ice Dance. We got an honourable 2nd place to Spooky's uncle Robbie.

Monty did a freestyle to Diana Ross ( Upside Down ) and a HTM to Mama's and Papa's California Dreamin'. He did not care for the loudspeakers, so did not work as well as at the last show. I entered him in the funclass where I had the oppurtunity to reward him for a job well done - and that kept him from worrying about the loudspeakers.

Our "doggy hero" Whisper won the Crufts class and will be representing Denmark in the International Freestyle at Crufts 2007. The picture below of Whisper and Emmy is from a show during the summer:

Whizz had her HTM debut in the 6+ class - with her daughter Meghann. They came in 2nd place with their doggy rendition of Meatloaf's Bat Out Of Hell :o) Meghann also competed successfully in the HTM and Freestyle classes aswell:

On the Sunday and Monday we were lucky to participate in a HTM seminar with Karen Sykes and Kath Hardman. I worked Monty & One on the Sunday, and Spooky on the Monday. I picked up a lot of new ideas and tips and have started working on new stuff with all the dogs. Our next HTM competition is in November - run by Ophian dogtraining school.
