HAPPY (BELATED) NEW YEAR!!!
We have been very busy so no updates for while sorry. I have being enjoying everyone else's blogs - especially Tazz's daughter Kizzy in the UK. Here is the link to her blog: hudsondoglets.blogspot.com
We have been to our first show this year. The show did not count for us from the Kennel Club, but it was a great show - 2 riding halls - one for standards and onefor minis.
I went with Kirsten - she brought Bailey, Zeus and Anton along. I had Whizz, One, Spooky, Tazz & Monty. I ran Spooks, Tazz and One. Marianne competed with Monty, Meghann and Ticket ( aka. Tickeroni or Babycakes ). Think we may have to lose the Babycakes name now as she is officially competing in agility now. Bent ran Paddy & Zoë.
Bent's goal was to proof Paddy's sit/stay at the start line. Paddy is superfast so Bent needs to be able to leave him at the start line - and guess what???? All his hard work really paid off. Paddy stayed put, until released, every time!!!! Wow.
One had his best runs to date - we are really beginnig to run like a team now. I am really looking forward to our next competition :o)
Spooky got a 2nd in AG3 - he was called on a A frame contact. My time was 10 seconds faster than the winner ;o) Tazz ran only jumping open - and got a 4th out of 52 dogs. Monty was 5th in the class, a second and a half after Tazz - which is unusual, so Tazz muzt have been FLYING!!! Monty also got a 2nd in Agility Class 3. I ran Bailey in the 2 open classes and got a 7th in both ( out of 55 dogs ).
The babies ( Ticket and Anton ) did really well. Anton got a 4th in the strong Agility class 1 - out of over 60 dogs. Ticket got a 5th in the jumping class 1. Both of these dogs have done my puppy foundation class - I love to see them compete!!! Anton is an obedience champ ( at age 2 would you believe it ) - Ticket competes in HTM. Both have been shown successfully in breed. ( And both are Border Collies.... ).
Kisrten had Zeus with and he got tonnes of attention. He really had a great time - and met a lot of people and dogs. And played tuggy with anyone he could get to play ( and who can resist his gorgeous little face )...?
Thanks to DCH Grindsted/Billund for an excellent show!!!!
