At 11.00 today I met with Kirsten & Lone for our traditional Christmas walk. We were joined by Erik - and as he was nice and polite, didnt insult us and behaved himself - he will be part of our traditional walk in the future.
In Denmark we have had a lot of snow. I prefer snow to rain/mud - but it can be a bit difficult at times. Nonetheless I have no influence on how much snow has fallen - or how much of it ends in my shovelling zone so there is no point in whining or complaining. Hey - we live in one of the Nordic countries :-D
So our walk just short of 2 hours was mostly through quite deep snow - fun but also tiring. Poor Trouble has fairyhair coat so he had about 2 kg of snow on him when we got back to the car. One is the biggest sissy and needed snowballs the size of peas removed from his paws continuously :-D All 15 dogs behaved impeccably.
At the end of the walk Lone was cohersed into making a snowangel - whoops - I thinkshe regretted that - One punced her - followed by the others :-D
The boys were well tired so I took Luna, Soda and Tazz up to my mums for Christmas Dinner. A bit of snow on the roads on the way up - but in Copenhagen it looked like the storm had just hit - they are unbelievably poor at clearing the roads there !!!! Lucky I only have about a km from the freeway. My brother, his friend where there and my mum had made dinner. We usually always have turkey - this year the turkey was pink ( ham ) - which made a nice change. The others had Christmas cake for dessert - I had traditional Karelian pies freshly made :-D
We have just gotten in - none of they dogs are stirring - so I think we are ready to call it a night!
Merry Christmas everybody.
