We went to a local show here Saturday - on Hex, Indy & Max's birthday :o)
Spooky was 4th in jumping open, 5th in jumping class 3 ( just behind the CC winner - rats - so close, yet so far ). In open agility we got called a refusal ( unfairly IMHO - but you win some and you lose some ). I cant remember what we did in agility 3 but it cant have been anything spectacular as I have blotted it from my memory. Tazz was a foofoo boy in jumping 3. In jumping open we had a great clear run ( although he did come sideways out of the flat tunnel ). When they called for prizegiving I was surprised he wasnt called up - oh well - he must have had a slow run. Monty was called up - so I went to get the prize for Marianne who had already left. Monty was 6th ( yeah Monty ) but when I looked who was infront of me I still couldnt believe Tazz had not placed. Maybe Tazz had knocked a bar??? I waited for them to post the results and Tazz wasnt on there. Another guy who also had a clear run was not on the list either. Anyhow, 5 scribe sheets had been misplaced in the judges tent - and when they were punched into the computer Tazz came in 3rd :o) Yeah Tazzy!!! And that was a strong open for Denmark with 65 minis...
One was the best - he had a beautiful clear run in agility class 1 - and came 2nd to a very talented student of mine (look for more in the next post). In jumping 1 he had the best time in the class but knocked a bar. We had a good open agility with a few twirls. A beautiful jumping open, but we got an E as he blew past a jump, but was doing so well that it was pointless correcting it...!
Spooky is now 3/4 of the way qualified to the Danish Agility Championships. I will be judging the team championships so can not compete for a team.
Thank you to our good friend Andreas Silfverberg for the pictures: www.agilityfocus.se
