Malmø

This morning Spooky, Soda and I drove to Malmø to compete in Freestyle.

Spooky needs 2 wins to be able to compete in FS 3 at the World Show. Soda needs one.

The venue was at a horse show - a zillion dogs, horses and activities. I was lucky to be able to crate my dogs behind the Olivers Petfood Stand in the shade ( THANK YOU ).

Spooky was unconcentrated on arrival and I had to work hard to get him through the routine. There were some spots in the arena he refused to work in, or even pass, but he did an OK performance - the audience LOVED him :o) Spooky won the FS1 class to my surprise and qualified. The scary thing was that there was 15 points between the 2 judges - which is a LOT. Both judges qualified him, one only just...! Spooky won a lot of cool stuff - best prize is from http://www.broderamera.com/ where I can get a collar embroidered for The Spookster. Have a look at the site - there are some beautiful collars on there!!!!

Soda did a perfect performace ( if you disregard the 2 woofs she let out ). Silly handler ( me ) forgot that the Swedes have 3 compulsary exercises and I left out 5 metres of heelwork. SHIT!!! Soda would have whooped Spooky's bottom. We got a lot of praise for the routine from the judges AND the audience. I was so proud of Miss Pop. She got a 5th place ( out of 12 ) but did not qualify. Am I still kicking myself - YOU BET!!!!!

Olivers gave us a bag full of Goodies for the dogs. We had a great day - and saw some interesting routines. My favourite was a Great Dane - him and his handler did a really good performance - almost Chill Factor!!!!
