We Qualified!!!

After a long trip up to Linkøping last week, we are officially qualified to compete at the World Dogshow in Freestyle :o)

The first competition was in the city - in a public square. Spooky did an OK routine and got 2nd in his class. He was excused as he had shared the car with a bitch in full season so actually he did brilliantly! Soda did a frisky performance of Emil from Lønneberg, but her barking is getting to be a bit of a habit. Not continuous, but a woof or two here and there, especially when she knows one of her favourite tricks is on the way. She won her class. The class winners were invited in to do another performance for the crowds, so I used my chance to do a bit of training and rewarding good behaviour. Soda did well again!

2nd competition was a bit if a drive away, on grass this time. Soda did really well ( we had been up since 2 in the morning so she was beginning to be a bit tired ) - she won her class again, this time out of 16 dogs! Spooky was really frisky after a good swim in a nearby stream, so I made his routine into a training round. But he already had his qualification so I wasnt too bothered about this :o)

I co-judged the fun class - some very talented handlers in there.

My favourite routine for the day was the only class 3 - from the city competition. The dog and handler were brilliant - and the dog was just oer 13 years old. Their performance was spectacular - and their musical interpretation was spot on. Thank you to Yvonne Øster for these photoes :o)
