Toven visits DK

The week after Crufts - actually 2 days after I arrived home - Toni & Steven Mapes arrived from the States. Toni & Steven of Toven Shelties :-) Basically from when they arrived until they left we had a tight schedule and I hope I didnt wear them down too much :o)
I was lucky to borrow my mum's car which seats 4 - but only 1 dog at a time :o)
On the Wednesday they arrived we went out to Kirsten & Gert's for lunch - then in the evening we travelled to Skælskør where we have agility. It was DAL-competition so a lot of Monty/Tazz pups were there - either competing or just watching ( not quietly I hasten to add ).
Thursday morning we drove up to Copenhagen and saw Amalienborg ( & changing of the guard ), Marmorkirken, Langelinie, The Little Mermaid &The Round Tower. In the evening we went to visit Kennel Shenaja and had dinner with them.

Friday morning we drove up to Kronborg Castle. We lucked out and got both tours in English - the Casements and the actual castle. On the way home we stopped by Annette who has One's daughter N'Joy. Friday evening should have been quiet - but we made an unexpected trip to Laila's in the evening.
Steven spent Saturday with Gert & Kristian, while Toni and I drove to Odense to see the sheltie show. There were a couple of Carson pups, and a Monty pup being shown. We stayed until the boys were judged then drove home for a rest/nap :o) Saturday evening we drove to Reersø where we ate at the local Inn. It is well known for their specialty ... Eel. Well the others had eel - and I didn't.
Sunday morning we drove to Sweden to Malmø International where I was showing Luna & Kid ( who is a Monty son living in Sweden ). Both did well - and after shopping in a Swedish supermarket we were homeward bound. In the evening we drove out to Bent & Marianne & Pia's to have dinner & celebrate Monty's 11th Birthday :o)
Monday we drove up to Waves in Greve to do a bit of shopping - and then in the evening we drove to Kirsten & Gert's for a goodbye dinner. Monday suddenly became a bit chaotic as just before we were due to leave to the vets for Carson's flight papers, somebody rang my door and asked if I had lost a rottweiler. A couple of screws, yes, but no a rottweiler ;o) Anyhow as I live right up agains a busy road I couldnt leave it out there loose. I went across the road where there are 15 houses but nobody knew the dog. I called it into the police and left the dog in my washroom. Nobody claimed the dog with the police - and as my house was chaotic enough with 3 bitches in season - howling boys - I asked them to come and pick her up which the duly did.
Tuesday morning it was off to the airport with Toni & Steven & Carson who was going home to Canada. We stopped at the beach at Solrød on the way there so Carson was well tired for his flight home.
I don't think I am alone in saying thank you to Donna, Steven & Toni for letting Carson visit us. He has given us all we hoped for - and more :o)
