Border Collie Club Show

First of all - congratulations to Emmy and Biscuit on their Freestyle Championship!!!! Well done :o)

And congratulations to Marianne & Ticket for being the AG1 border collie of the year!

Saturday was the Border Collie Club Show. I had entered Spooky in the agility, and Soda and Whizz for the breed ring. Spooky did well in agility - 2 clears with a 3rd and a 5th. Soda was 2nd best baby puppy bitch out of 9 - and although she was described as a tri ( ??? ) she had a great critique...!

Foggy's blue daughter Peace ( Smedegaardens Peace on Earth ) got her first breed CC !!!!! Congratulations to her and her owner Lis!!!!

At a sheltie breed show, Monty's blue daughter Vita got her first breed CC - this is the 2nd puppy from the litter with a CC.

Back to the border collie show. Whizz was looking gorgeous and I took her in for the Champ class - she free baits - suddenly I could see her change before me and her gaze glazed. I couldnt get any contact with her and picked her up and took her out of the ring. Luckily Kirsten was there and a vet - otherwise I would have freaked and probably become extremely hysterical. Within a minute Whizz was back to normal as if nothing had happened. I took her into the ring as she was her ususal self and she was 2nd best champion bitch and best veteran in show. Needless to say she scared me silly and Spooky's 3rd agility run was just a jog around the ring - both of us having fun. Whizz reminded me then and there that there is nothing as important as good health and having fun.
