Pre Crufts

We left Denmark on Friday night - after helping with a collie breeding in Sorø. The weather was quite windy and wet on the way down through Europe but the trip was uneventful. We reached Hoek of Holland in the morning and took a walk on the beach with the dogs. It was REALLY very windy - so much so that we did not even get down to the sand. We had Spooky & One, and Emmy's Biscuit for the trip.

After a cold walk we took a walk in the town and looked for food. UNBELIEVABLE. We couldn't find a single place to eat ( other than a pub where smoking was allowed ). So Marianne found a seafood cafe where we had a fish lunch - and my growing concerns for whether or not the ferry would sail - the waves where incredible - and not in a good way!!!
We got onto the ferry which was going to sail ( and the lady assured me this was not the worst weather to travel in ). We went straight to bed - and for an hour and a half after sailing all I could hear was the ship creaking and rocking. Very, very scary!!! We had baked potato and pizza before we disembarked - and then the last 2 hours of the trip went uneventfully!

Sunday we did a training morning - I set a course and we did bits and a full course. The weirdest thing was that many of the things we worked on showed up on the courses at Crufts - now either the judges need to stop looking at YouTube or I need to shut of my Psychic powers. More about that later.





Sunday eve we took a nice walk to a pub, had some drinks and wandered back for a BBQ at Lisa & Toni's. Marion and Tim joined us for dinner - and we played Pictionary. Back to the psychic powers. SOMEBODY ( who will remain nameless ) was to roll the dice to see who would start. Anyhow after the nameless person rolled the dice of the board ( claiming that the roll didnt coult ) I predicted the outcome of the dice 3 times in a row. Unfortunately that was the end of my powers that day and my guesswork in what Marianne was drawing for me was not up to scratch!!!!
