We were up in time for a good breakfast - before we left for Crufts from our beautiful b & b. Our toilet paper even had its own hat ;o)
We got to Crufts - I was dropped off infront of the hall - and the Bernadette, Lone & IngeLise went to park. I only had Soda with me in - the others offered to bring my props and stuff into the hall - little did they know the volume or weight of my notso-limited baggage.
I started by setting up my crate area - THANK YOU FOR ALL THE BEAUTIFUL CARDS & GIFTS!!!!! I had plenty of time to "groom" for Peter/Tempo who was competing in the International Agility for Denmark.
Bernadette had volunteered to groom for me - thank you - ad sorry you had to carry the boat weights all that way;o) At 11.00 we had a briefing and I did a last minute check before my props were transported up to the collecting ring. My biggest fear was opening the chest and my eggprop was not in there - so that was checked a zillion times...And we were off.....
I am not going to analyse our performance other than say Soda was a *superstar* and she did the job :-) I was so pleased with her throughout our entire Crufts adventure! Soda - you ROCK !!!!!!
The afternoon was spent grooming for Peter again for both his final runs. I also managed a tiny bit of shopping before we left the hall at 7.00 pm. The parking attendants had lefts so we had parked for free that day ;o) My aunt Kathleen had travelled down from Scotland and my mum had come from Denmark - so we all went out for dinner that night ( + Lone & IngeLise ). I was sooooooo tired so when someone mentioned dessert they were given the evil eye - I just needed to go to bed !!!!
Next morning IngeLise & I forced Lone to eat with us at the Little Chef - she finally ordered what she believed was a healthy yoghurt sundae ;o) We drove up to Littlethorn - Bob & Alison welcomed us into their home - and we saw their beautiful puppies & adults. Time ran out way too quickly and we drove off to Harwich. We managed a tiny bit of shopping on the way home at Morrisons before we boarded the ferry.
We had a buffet dinner - and then sat in the lounge and listened to the guitar player - he was the same guy as when we travelled over - and he was just as good the second time!!!! The captain had promised a calm trip over but neither Lone or I emerged from the cabin again until we landed - only IngeLise was seaworthy enough to have breakfast.
All I can say to conclude is that I have had an amazing trip, surrounded by truly amazing friends & family - THANK YOU!!!!
