Up bright and early - our first day in LA. We had decided on a bus tour - so after our breakfast in the hotel diner ( and no - this was not a Gothia Towers breakfast either ) we booked a bus trip which basically took us to all the touristy places in LA.
We were picked up at the hotel at 9.15 and taken to the bus comapany where we changed buses. They had free popcorn ( ??? ) and Kickan took a bag for now, and took my bag for later. Well later became never, as the bag exploded spontaneously in her bag somewhere on the bus trip :-/
The bus driver was a fresh driver ( as Kickan put it - he drove like a car thief ) - if you have seen the Harry Potter with the bus driver scene you pretty much know what his driving was like. I don't get car sick but not everyone was happy with his driving.
We started at Venice Beach and drove to Melrose, Bel Air, Hollywood Hills, LA Ink, La Brea Ave and the Chinese Theatre. The driver knew a lot ( or then he was really good at making things up ) and knew a lot about the history and who's who in Hollywood.
When we got back we went to IHOP ( International House of Pancakes ). I decided on a club sandwich and Kickan had pancakes. She insisted on plenty of cream for the pancakes :-D
During our trip a guy had tried to gove us tickets for the Jay Leno show tapings - I think he got tired of my endless questions so he basically stormed off :-D I checked the internet and found that we could get tickets by going to the NBC studios the next morning so we did......
