Allure of The Seas - Cruizin' Day 1

Sunday morning was the big day! The reason for the trip to Florida was to sail for a week with the Allure of The Seas - the world's largest cruise ship!!!!! We had a leisurely breakfast, packed and took at taxi to the port which wasn't far from the hotel.

From the minute we stepped out of the taxi the adventure began :-D

We checked our baggage in and it would be delivered to our Stateroom (aka cabin) later in the evening. Before check in there was a security check and hooooray we were on our way to the ship. Cabin 11539 was our home for the next week!

Stepping onto the ship onto deck 5 was like stepping into Charlie's Chocolate Factory. It was magical and so different from anything I ever have experienced before.

We started with a coffee at Starbucks and read through the first booklets/papers and the all important Ships Comapss - basically a list of everything you need to know about the day.

Once the cruise is paid for... 95 % of everything on the ship is included in the price. Shows, food, activities, fitness centre, ice skating, rock climbing, and most of the restaurants.

Already on the first night we saw the first show we had booked from home. It was called Ice Games, and was performed on the ice rink - the theme was a game of monopoly - and the scenes were activities/locations on the ship. The skaters were Olympic quality, the choreography amazing and the show was brilliant!

We had dinner in the main dining room and met our waiter Laurentiu and his assistant - and later we met our uber cool stateroom attendant Andy.
The next morning the ship would be early in port at Nassau so that was the main plan for the next day!
