We started the day at 6 am with breakfast and then more lengthy training discussions. Sea World had left a fantastic impression on us :-D
Our destination was Newport Beach - the Hyatt Regency where the Clicker Expo was to be held. We found a shopping mall in San Diego on the way - I bought some Yankee Candles at 75% off - holiday scents - but hey - 75 % off.....
We drove the 2 hour drive to Newport Beach on the scenic Highway road. Not our choice - but the GPS's...it had a bit of its own life when it came to sending us from A to B. It was however an excellent choice for us that day and we stopped a few times en route. At one point I saw a guy pull out in a Mini Cabriolet with 2 grey haired ladies in the back seat. A few streets up and a closer look revealed 2 poodles on the back seat in their harnesses.
We arrived at our hotel - an absolutely beautiful hotel next to a golf course. The service was amazing. We opted to be cheap and didnt have the valet park our car ( saved 200 kr. pr. night on doing it ourselves ) - and the bellboy we met in the elevator almost had a heartattack as we had carried our suitcases up from the parking lot by ourselves.
We had dinner at Champagnes - and then went out shopping. Thats when we realised that Newport Beach probably wasnt a regular neighbourhood but quite an exclusive area - it took us ages to find a supermarket, despite having the GPS, but if you wanted to buy a REALLY expensive boat or a Rolls Royce, Bugatti, Lambourgini etc there where plenty of dealers on every street :-D
We checked in for the Clicker Expo - got our gift packs - and shopped at the Clicker Expo store. I bought a couple of books and some Kong Toys. We went to bed early ( again ) after planning our day at the Expo.
